Dallas Cowboys legend and three-time Super Bowl champion Michael Irvin had some stern words for the team's current players on Sunday.
Irvin took to his YouTube channel to offer his reaction to the team promoting offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to head coach after the organization decided to let Mike McCarthy walk. Irvin called out the Cowboys roster to "do something" about its bad situation.

"All you jokers on the football field, it's on you, man. I don't give a damn who it is, man. It's on you. Everything we put all our hearts into building, what that is, that franchise is, and holding it up to what it is that franchise is, it's your f*king turn. Man, do something, man.
"Stand up and show that you are, man. Stop just being part of all of it. It's been a damn generation. You're there, now it's your turn. What are you doing with it? Stop taking, and just f*king taking and try giving something back."
Brian Schottenheimer and the Cowboys have a tall order in 2025
Schottenheimer has a tall task ahead of him in 2025. Not only does Dallas need to get back to a winning record, but it needs to do enough to compete with the NFC's elite, who just so happen to also reside in their division.
Both the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders have emerged as the teams to beat in the conference as they both made it to this year's NFC championship game.
Led by quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts, the Cowboys have quite a bit of catching up to do if they want to compete for not only a division title but a deep playoff run.
Irvin is undoubtedly the greatest Dallas Cowboys receiver of all time, and he'll hope his words can spark some passion in today's leaders such as Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons, and others.
Dallas had one of its worst seasons in the past several years, finishing with a 7-10 record and failing to make the playoffs. With a new head coach at the helm and a top-15 draft pick in the 2025 NFL draft, there is certainly some optimism for the team heading into next season.
