Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has become the focal point of a storm brewing within Raider Nation. As the team (3-12) faces another disappointing season, Crosby had some comments about the Raiders' instability on his podcast, "The Rush with Maxx Crosby," on Tuesday:

"It's been six years of inconsistency. It's new coaches every other year, and new teammates. And there's been plenty of times where I'm like, 'Damn, this D-line is cold,' and I come back and every single one of them is gone. ... It's tough bro."

His comments have led NFL fans to point fingers directly at the Pro Bowl defensive end.

"Those who WANT to be here will be here. If he wants to make it work, he’ll make it work," a fan said.

Earlier in the year, Crosby pushed for then-interim coach Antonio Pierce's permanent hiring and reportedly wanted to request a trade if that didn't happen.

"Well, it is his fault. We hired the worst HC in football, " wrote another fan.
"He’s the one that alluded to wanting out if they didn’t sign AP. Thanks a lot, Maxx!" a fan commented.

More NFL fans vented their frustrations.

"Dude set us back two yrs if he wants to leave I honestly don’t care anymore," a fan said.

Before the 2022 season, the DE inked a four-year, $98 million contract extension with the team, along with $53 million in guarantees. If Las Vegas cuts Crosby before June 1, the Raiders would free up $7.8 million in cap space.

"The second video scares me.. no more guaranteed money makes him very easy to trade 😔," another fan commented.

Meanwhile, some fans agreed with Crosby's view.

"I feel for Maxx and he deserves a ring on his hand so with raiders rebuilding it will be another 5 years before we see any kind of success. He's in his prime right now so if he wants a trade give it to him and get 2 first rounders for him and get him to a team that wins." A fan chimed in.

Maxx Crosby’s social media activity during Week 16 brewed the tension earlier

As the Kansas City Chiefs clinched yet another victory against the Houston Texans in Week 14, Maxx Crosby’s cryptic tweet, "KC" with fire emojis, led to speculation about a potential move to the Raiders’ AFC West rival.

Given Crosby’s history of fierce competition with the Chiefs, the tweet came as a shock to many.

This isn’t the first time Maxx Crosby has voiced his frustrations. Over the years, he’s been vocal about the Raiders’ inability to build a consistent roster around him. But this time, his comments hit differently, especially with rumors swirling about a possible trade to bolster the Raiders’ draft capital for a rebuild.
