An NFL player's cameo on TV shows is nothing new. Loved athletes often make their way onto beloved shows, be it someone like Tom Brady or retired star Andrew Luck. Some, of course, are remembered more than others.
In 2019, Andrew Luck retired after six years in the league. He was 29, and probably too young to retire. However, Luck decided to move on from his career, which was more or less laced with injuries.
Eventually, fans reached out with tributes about the former Indianapolis Colts quarterback. They shared memories and moments with the star that they loved, which also included his off-field content.
Michael Schur, who co-created the popular show Parks and Recreation, shared a short anecdote about Andrew Luck's time on set. He emphasized the time they spent together and how well Luck treated them.

"When we were making Parks and Recreation we shot scenes with the Colts. We were told we had maybe an hour with the players. Then Andrew Luck showed up, and he was an absolute delight," he wrote. "Warm, funny, generous. He threw TD passes to anyone who wanted one, just to make us happy."
He even shared a small incident with Chris Pratt, where the Jurrasic World actor learnt how to grip the ball from Luck. Apparently, Luck 'effortlessly' dropped a 50-yard floater into Reggie Wayne's hands.
Wayne was in the end zone, while Pratt was covering him.
Schur continued:
"He made fifty fans that day. If the game isn’t bringing that guy joy anymore, it’s the game’s fault, not his. I love that he has the courage and integrity to walk away from this insane sport, and wish him nothing but health and happiness from whatever he does next".
When did Andrew Luck star on Parks and Recreation?
Irrespective of his time on the field, Luck had a splendid time at Parks and Recreation.
His first appearance was in season five, episode 10 titled 'Two Parties.' The premise features a bachelorette and bachelor party, where the guys throw a party for Ben (Adam Scott). While Ben wants everyone to play a boardgame and drink beer, the other characters want something interesting.
As the episode progressed, Luck, Waye and Colts owner Jim Irsay made an appearance. Rob Lowe's character Chris pulls in a favor so they end up meeting the Colts player at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
Luck's second episode was season six, episode eight titled 'Fluoride.' Luck along with other NFL players, played with some kids at the Lucas Oil Stadium, which made up a small portion of the episode.
While his time on the NFL field might be shorter than expected, one cannot forget his iconic cameos in an iconic show.
