Pittsburgh Steelers fans started speculating after Russell Wilson shared a post thanking everybody involved with the organization.
Following a wild card round elimination at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens, the veteran quarterback is likely out of the Steelers after signing a one-year deal with the AFC North franchise.
"All Glory to God! Year 13! 🙏🏾 Grateful for my amazing teammates, coaches, & fans! 🖤💛@Steelers," Wilson tweeted on Friday.

Revisiting Russell Wilson's season with the Steelers
After a tumultuous stint with the Denver Broncos, Russell Wilson was released by Sean Payton's team.
He had joined the Steelers hoping to turn things around, which he did to some extent. Wilson finished the 2024 season playing 11 games, the fewest in his career due to injury, averaging 2,482 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions.
He led the Steelers to a 10-7 record after regressing in the final weeks of the season. They lost the AFC North title to the Ravens, the same team that eliminated them from the playoffs. It's unclear whether the Steelers will keep Wilson or place their attention on a different player.
Colin Cowherd mentioned Aaron Rodgers as a better option for Pittsburgh, but Rodgers' future with the Jets is anybody's guess. The next weeks will be crucial for Wilson's NFL career.
