Jalen Hurts' agent calls out ESPN analyst's "pretty privilege" remark after Eagles QB silences critics

Jalen Hurts' agent, Nicole Lynn, called out ESPN analyst Domonique Foxworth after the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders 55-23 to advance to Super Bowl LIX.

Hurts completed 20 of 28 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown, leading the Eagles to their Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

On Sunday, Lynn tweeted:

"That pretty privilege paying off. #SuperBowlBound"

Lynn's comment followed Foxworth's criticism of Hurts' performance last month.

"Jalen Hurts is benefitting from pretty privilege," Foxworth said on ESPN's Get Up. "He got up at the press conference after the game, and he acted like he was Josh Allen. ... "Man, you had one good week passing. And everyone forgets it when he starts batting his eyes at you."

With his performance in the NFC championship game, Hurts silenced doubts about his abilities.

After facing challenges during the 2024 season, Jalen Hurts delivered a strong performance in the NFC championship game. It was the second time in eight games that he surpassed the 200-yard mark.

Following the win, Hurts talked about his performance.

"In a sense, I think this game chose me and this position chose me," Hurts said, when asked about handling a reduced role as a passer for much of the season (via ESPN). "To be able to come this far and have these opportunities in front of us, you just want to take advantage of them.

"But I've never been motivated by achieving the personal things, personal goals. All of those things come when you put the work in, have the right mentality and embrace what the group's mission is. And the mission is to win."

In the regular season, Hurts passed for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. Meanwhile, in the postseason, he completed 69.6% of his passes for 505 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.
