Trevor Lawrence may be the happiest man in Jacksonville right now. Besides a monstrous five-year, $275 million extension that ties him with Joe Burrow for the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history, he will also soon have a first child.

The Jaguars' star quarterback and his wife Marissa announced the news yesterday on their Instagram.

One of the people who reacted was Christen Harper, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model who recently married Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff. She commented:

"So happy for y'all!!!!"

Other NFL personalities react to Trevor Lawrence, wife Marissa announcing pregnancy

Another prominent NFL wife to react was Kara Bosworth, wife of former Jaguars linebacker Kyle Bosworth. She said:

"Can't wait to see you as a mother"

Mary Mettenberger, daughter of former NFL coach Ken Whisenhunt and wife of former Tennessee Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger, said:

"Congrats mama"

And so did Sydney Warner, Dani Marie Watt, and Chanen Johnson, the respective wives of current Pro Bowl linebackers Fred Warner, TJ Watt and New Orleans Saints tight end Chenen Johnson, who each said:

"Congratulations!"

Even Lawrence's teammates, running back Travis Etienne and center Mitch Morse, also reacted:

"Major congratulations" Etienne said.
"Congratulations you guys!" Morse said.

Trevor Lawrence's Jaguars, Jared Goff's Lions to play each other in 2024-25 season

An interesting tidbit about Jared Goff's congratulatory message to Trevor Lawrence (via their respective wives) is that their respective teams will eventually clash this season.

The Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars will be clashing on November 17 at Ford Field, right before the latter's bye week. Kickoff is at 1 pm (however, it may be flexed into primetime depending on what their records are by that point).

The Lions are coming off their first-ever divisional title and conference title game appearance since the days of Barry Sanders. Goff will have a largely unchanged arsenal of running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, and tight end Sam LaPorta, although he did lose guard Jonah Jackson, one of his proctectors, to his former team in the Los Angeles Rams.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, will look to rebound from a monumental collapse that saw them go from a division-best 8-3 to 9-8 and out of the playoffs. Lawrence will have new top wideouts in Gabe Davis and Devin Duvernay, who will join Christian Kirk, running back Travis Etienne, and tight end Evan Engram.
