Jason Kelce announced his retirement after the 2023 NFL season. However, the Philadelphia Eagles icon has no intention of letting go of the NFL so soon. Already hosting a podcast with brother Travis Kelce, Kelce will join ESPN as an analyst.

Fans, along with Kelce's family, are right there to support the former Eagles star.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Kelce's wife, Kylie, spoke about his new journey.

"I am mostly excited to see Jason excel in a new position," Kylie said. "I jokingly say it's a pain in the butt that he's good at everything, and I know I'm biased in that, but I truly believe he's good at everything because even if he's not good at the start or the best at the start. He will work, endlessly and tirelessly until he can achieve that. So, I have full faith that he's going to tackle his new position and excel."

She further said that it would be a big shift from a physically exerting job to something that uses the intellectual ability to analyze games he's played for years.

Kylie added that Jason is an analytical person anyway and will be perfect for Monday night with ESPN.

Jason Kelce has his own fears about the analyst role with ESPN

Despite playing in the NFL for years, an analyst role will certainly be a major change for Jason Kelce. Naturally, Kelce isn't without fears about taking up a new role.

On Green Light with Chris Long podcast, Kelce broke down his fears and how he is viewing his upcoming job.

“I guess I’m fearful that I’m not going to be prepared. Because I feel like there’s a lot more autonomy," Kelce said. "Once you’re removed from it, you’ve got to go out of your way to really watch things and really iron in on what’s happening to do a reputable job."

That being said, fans remain excited for Jason Kelce covering in-season games.

As mentioned, the 2018 Super Bowl champion will be covering Monday Night Football with ESPN.
