Jason Kelce shared insights about his new ESPN gig. The retired NFL star is coming with an exciting TV show called "They Called It Late Night with Jason Kelce" for his fans starting Saturday. Per reports, the show will premiere on ESPN and feature renowned personalities like Charles Barkley.

Before its premiere, Kelce shared insightful details about his brand-new show in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

"It's a comedy, late night show," Kelce said. "We have a bunch of really funny writers who are going to make the show funny, because I certainly can't. We're going to be utilizing great footage and soundbites from the past and history of the game as well as current weeks, we're going to be having panelists on that'll be able to give perspective from either former players and coaches, to fans, to other high level athletes."

Kelce's wife, Kylie, will also be part of the show. She will join the team as an announcer, and they have focused on making it as authentic as possible.

"I was just talking about it with Kylie, like, 'What can I do that's something that I want to do and is fun?' and I think when you're talking to most guys, the thing almost everybody says they miss the most is being around the guys, being around the players and shooting the crap with the boys," Kelce said.

The five-episode show will premiere starting Saturday on ESPN at 1 a.m. ET and has a runtime of one hour.

Jason Kelce reflects on his interest in "late-night shows"

Jason Kelce appeared on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and shared his interest in watching late-night shows. He said (via Delaware Online):

"I loved late-night shows. I've always loved them. I remember sleepovers watching Conan O'Brien with my friends. We're going to have a bunch of guys up there – legends of the game, friends that I played with, coaches, celebrities."

After retiring from the NFL, Jason Kelce focused on broadcasting and hosting shows. He co-hosts Apple's popular podcast "New Heights" with his brother Travis and also appears on "Monday Night Countdown" on ESPN.
