The New York Jets made a blockbuster trade on Tuesday, acquiring star receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. Adams is one of the top receivers in the NFL and brings a significant boost to the Jets' offense.
It was a massive deal for the Jets, who have started the season 2-4 and will need to make a push to make the playoffs.
Speaking on his "New Heights Podcast," Jason Kelce said he believes the deal makes a lot of sense for the Jets.
"The big news we have following the week is Davante Adams is now a Jet," Jason said. "Jets, coming off of their loss on Monday Night Football to the Bills...short lived amount of agony. This should expand the offense, obviously, Garrett Wilson, it's gonna add another dynamic."

Travis Kelce, meanwhile, said he likes what the move brings to the Jets' offense.
"Every time, anytime any offense, or anytime any Hall of Fame quarterback gets this kind of receiver, or gets his like legendary receiver that he has been always been on the same page with gets him back...Yeah, no, this offense is going to be a lot better, and it just is what it is," Travis said.
Through six games, New York is averaging just 18.83 points per game, which ranks 20th in the NFL. Adding Adams could help jumpstart the Jets' struggling offense.
Davante Adams says he's good to go after injury
Davante Adams has missed the last three games with the Las Vegas Raiders due to a hamstring injury.
However, following the trade to the Jets, Adams says he's good to go and expects to play on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"Feeling great," Adams said during a surprise Tuesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, via NFL.com.
"Was working with the staff over in Vegas the whole time. They got me back right. Fortunately, I'll be ready to roll. I'm sure there's a few new little nuances but for the most part a lot of the same verbiage. Still the same O.G. right here. Should be able to pick up where we left off. That's the idea."
This season, Adams has recorded 18 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown.
