Jason Whitlock has never been a big fan of Roger Goodell, especially as he has led the NFL in taking initiative to try and combat social justice issues. Now that the NFL commissioner is about to get a new contract and remain in his position for the foreseeable future, Whitlock is not happy.
On his show Fearless, he blasted the league, the owners and the commissioner. In the rant, Whitlock said:
"This is a signal that Black Lives Matter has won and that the woke have won. That Roger Goodell and this backing of Roger Goodell like hey guys, Colin Kaepernick and all the woke stuff, going to put stickers on helmets, we're going to put writing in the end zones, and we're going to do the little Inspire Change initiative. Trust me, guys, we're going to sell out to the Marxists and we're going to be fine."
He continued:

"We're going to make even more money... These owners are sitting around going, 'Yeah, Jerry's right.' The fact that we've sold out America and the fact that we're betraying all the values we said we stand for doesn't matter because we're making more money."
He believes that Jerry Jones is the lone hero in this scenario:
"What I see in Jerry Jones is a king that has lost. He stood his ground singlehandedly amongst a bunch of cowards who have now just said, 'You know what, we're going to take this money. Our families are going to be fine, I'm going to be fine.'"
The league voted 31-1 to open contract negotiations with the commissioner.
Why does Jason Whitlock despise Roger Goodell?
It's no secret that the Fox analyst is not happy with the direction of the NFL. He's been outspoken against most of the things they've tried to do in the political space, often fearing they are propelling the country into a dark, communist space.
It really began with Colin Kaepernick's kneeling protest. It was one of the first and most obvious times that politics had entered the NFL in a long time. Many fans, Whitlock included, did not like that. As the NFL began to get more friendly towards the movement, their ire grew. When the league began to adopt their own social justice stances and implement things into games, many feared that the league they knew and loved was gone.
Whitlock is one of those, as evidenced by his rant, and he is arguably the face of them, since he is one that has a large platform. As to whether Roger Goodell does have a Machiavellian scheme to propel the country into a Marxist dystopia, that will be revealed in time.
