Jerry Jones defamation case: Why is 'secret daughter' Alexandra Davis suing Cowboys owner again?

Detroit Lions v Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been sued again by a 26-year-old woman who says that the NFL legend is her father.

The woman says that she's the daughter of Jones and has filed a defamation suit against Jones and two other individuals, saying that the trio spread lies and misinformation portraying her as an 'extortionist' and 'shakedown artist.'

Davis, 26, filed a lawsuit against Jones last year alleging that Jones paid her $375,000 and set up two trusts to hide that she's his daughter. In the new suit, Davis says that Jones publicly made 'false statements and accusations' attacking her character.

In her original lawsuit, Alexandra Davis asked to be recognized by the court as Jones's daughter and released from the NDA what her mother had agreed to when she was an infant. The court ordered Jones to take a paternity test. The story is still developing.
