Is Jerry Jones holding back from giving Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb the contract he has played so hard for? On Friday's episode of "The Carton Show" Super Bowl champion wide receiver Plaxico Burress shared his thoughts on CeeDee Lamb's current holdout.
The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver hasn't participated in offseason workouts with the team, and it's currently unknown if he will attend training camp next week. Burress believes Lamb has earned a contract extension for the work he has put in at the position and the offensive production he brings to the Cowboys' offense:
"We already see where CeeDee Lamb stands at, because he's not happy with his current deal because he has not received one. And we haven't heard from him. We don't know if he's going to show up to training camp yet. So we still don't know what CeeDee Lanb is going to do. ... But CeeDee has proven himself to get the contract that he deserves.

"Why Jerry Jones's organization don't want to compensate this young man is beyond me. I'm just telling you right now, Jerry Jones, he's fed up. He's not getting the results that he wants from his football team with the contracts that he's been putting out. So he's holding back to see exactly what the Dallas Cowboys are going to do."

Although Jerry Jones might be hesitant to spend more money on lucrative contracts, Lamb could be a player worth retaining, as per Skip Bayless.
Skip Bayless' thoughts on Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb's holdout
CeeDee Lamb's possible contract extension has been a topic of conversation all offseason. As training camp is inching closer every day, the NFL world is waiting to see if the wide receiver will report to camp. NFL media personality Skip Bayless, a self-proclaimed fan of the Dallas Cowboys, shared his thoughts on the situation:
“I remain convinced, he's (CeeDee Lamb) my one and only baller on that team. He's the one and only player I can trust on that team as long as he is on that team as long as Jerry does finally pay him and get him at least to the first game. (Timestamp: 30:46)
Bayless then went on to say that he believes Lamb will report to his team in time for their Week 1 showdown against the Cleveland Browns:
“I have a feeling he's going to hold out or be forced to hold out throughout training camp. I have a feeling he'll show up just in time to play game No. 1 with a new deal.”
Last regular season, Lamb recorded 1,749 yards, 12 touchdowns and averaged 13.5 yards per reception.
