Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is still in Dan Snyder's corner. The Washington Commanders owner has come under fire for all the allegations of sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and even some financial indiscretions.

Such is the gravity of the situation that many want Snyder to no longer be the owner of the Commanders.

There is one problem though. Perhaps the most influential NFL owner in Jerry Jones allegedly wants the 57-year-old to remain in power.

Ian Rapoport spoke on NFL Network and confirmed as much. Jones is still in the Washington owner's corner and until that changes, he will continue to be the owner of the Commanders.

Rapoport said:

“From my understanding, Tom, Jerry Jones, who is so important and influential to which direction this is all going to go, is still on board with Daniel Snyder and if that changes, that would be a dramatic turn and potentially something that would be, that would signal the end of Daniel Snyder’s tenure.”

Rapoport's comments show just how powerful and how much pull Jerry Jones has in the NFL. With a lot still to play out with Snyder's accusations, this shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

According to various reports and sources, one of the main reasons that the Commanders owner is still in power is juicy. It is alleged that the 57-year-old hired private investigators to dig up dirt on all the other owners, as well as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

In laymen's terms, if all the other owners voted to push the 57-year-old out of the league, all that "dirt" would be released. Now, depending on what that dirt is, we don't know. But it must nonetheless be considerable.

If the Commanders owner is pushed or forced out, all the other NFL owners will have their dirty laundry aired in the public domain.

How exactly Dan Snyder plans to manipulate the situation is still unknown and will likely remain as such for the time being.

Until, as Rapoport stated, Jerry Jones changes his tune, Snyder will stay in power.
