Jets Hall of Famer labels Aaron Rodgers "condescending," not a good fit for team

There's been a lot of talk about Aaron Rodgers potentially joining the New York Jets. The franchise, which is openly on the lookout for a veteran quarterback, has been linked with the Green Bay Packers star.

Rodgers, who himself is yet to make a decision on his playing future, has not specifically ruled out the move and it has had Jets fans buzzing with excitement. But one former Jets star is not too keen on seeing the move go through.

While appearing on The Zach Gelb Show, Jets Hall of Famer Joe Klecko aired his displeasure over the proposed move. He said it could cause havoc in the locker room:

"[He's not] a fit with the young guys. I related this to myself when we came up as a young team when we started winning... I've watched Rodgers over the years. He's a great player. You don't become an MVP three times without doing what he's done. When he didn't have the perfect arrangement with receivers and the line, his attitude was condescending somewhat to the players."

Klecko further went on to explain how the deal could impact the balance of the team under head coach Robert Saleh:

"Garrett Wilson won Offensive Rookie of the Year. I can't see him coming back to the huddle and Rodgers lambasting him for running the wrong route. It's not gonna fit. I don't see it."

Klecko, though, backed the idea of Derek Carr joining the side in free agency, a player who has also been linked with a move to the Big Apple:

"I could see a guy like Carr, who is an All-Pro. He isn't an MVP, but he has had some great years."

The Jets seem to be swaying more towards signing Carr, who recently met with the side's representatives. A-Rod, in the meantime, has recently resurfaced from what he labeled a 'Darkness retreat.'

The Packers QB reportedly stayed in a 300-square-foot room partially built underground. It featured a queen-sized bed, a bathroom, and a meditation mat where meals were provided to him through a window in the door.
