Week 18 is in the books, which means it's time for Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets to have a conversation about what the future looks like. The Jets don't have a coach in place, nor a general manager, after they fired Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas in the middle of the season.
While they need to fill those vacancies, there's also the question of settling Rodgers' future to give them enough time to make some ancillary decisions regarding the state of the roster. One man who believes Rodgers should consider running it back with the franchise is New York Jets legend Joe Namath.
After the Jets' Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins, Namath tweeted:
"After watching Aaron Rodgers play today, there's no doubt he's got at least another year in him. So if he WANTS to, I'd love to see him stay with the Jets. He could definitely help the new GM and coach, as well as play ball. He's still throwing with accuracy and authority."

Aaron Rodgers went 23-of-36 for 274 yards, four touchdowns and an INT as the Jets picked up their fifth win of the season by beating Miami 32-20.
Rodgers signed a three-year, $112.5 million, deal with the Jets but has also made it clear that he would be open to taking a paycut to return next season. If he decides to ride off into the sunset, he will have finished his final season with a 63% completion rate, 3,897 yards, 28 TDs and 11 INTs.
Aaron Rodgers' 3,897 yards and 28 TDs are both third in Jets' single-season history.
What's next for Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets?
The Jets have started interviewing candidates for both the GM and coach vacancies. Interestingly, most of the candidates have been ESPN employees, including Louis Reddick and Rex Ryan.
Former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel was the man most strongly linked with coaching the Jets this coming season. However, given the fact that the New England Patriots parted ways with Jerod Mayo on Sunday night, Vrabel could be leaning towards a return to the franchise where he won three Super Bowls.
That leaves the Jets with a shallower pool of candidates. Sportskeeda's Tony Pauline reports that the New Orleans Saints are eyeing Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, while Lions OC Ben Johnson has been strongly linked with a move to coach the Chicago Bears.
The Jets have been linked with Washington Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury and have reportedly expressed an interest in Broncos DC Vance Joseph. Former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is also angling for a move back to the NFL, so that could be a storyline to keep an eye on.
