The New York Jets and Aaron Rodgers had a disappointing 2024-2025 season, finishing the season with a 5-12 record. During the season, the Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas, as the team didn't meet expectations.

With the Jets' season over, they shift their focus to rebuilding their roster. Before that, they'll need new head coach and new GM.

On Monday morning, ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter reported that the Jets requested an interview with Kansas City Chiefs' assistant general manager, Mike Borgonzi for their opening.

"Jets requested a GM interview with Kansas Chiefs' assistant General Manager Mike Borgonzi, per source," the insider wrote.

Borgonzi has been a member of the Chiefs brass since 2019. In 2021, he was promoted to assistant general manager and has held that position for the last four years.

The Jets are also expected to request an interview for Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn for their vacant head coaching position.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers' future is anyone's guess. Rodgers has hinted at possibly retiring, but he's also open to playing in 2025.

The question is, do the Jets want Rodgers back or will they move on from him as they begin a rebuild this off-season?

Regardless, Rodgers is open to playing for the Jets next season. He has said multiple times this offseason that he would be willing to take another paycut in 2025.

There is no guaranteed money attached to Rodgers' contract in 2025, however, there is a $35 million option if the Jets want to keep him on the roster.

Aaron Rodgers missed all but one drive of the 2023 season and in 2024, he went 5-12 with the Jets, throwing for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

With the Jets set to have a new head coach and general manager in 2025, it will be interesting to see if they want to retain or move on from Rodgers.

Rodgers took a pay cut once with the Jets, could he do it again this off-season?
