New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson dubbed Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers "one of the greatest of all time," adding that his acquisition will "immediately" make the franchise a championship contender.
The Jets are reportedly among the suitors looking to acquire the four-time NFL MVP. Rodgers, who has been with the Packers since 2005, is yet to take a call on his future, and is set to do so after a four-day "darkness retreat."
According to NFL analyst Adam Schefter, the 39-year-old will likely be traded to an AFC team, as the Packers won’t trade him within their conference.

Wilson joined CBS Sports and was asked about Rodgers' potential acquisition and what it would mean for the team. Wilson said that "it's hard to put a measure" on the benefits of the trade.
"It would be awesome," Wilson said. "When you have the chance to get someone that's one of the greatest of all-time, in my opinion, the greatest talent-wise, he can put the ball anywhere, and for me, being a young dude and having a chance to learn from someone like that that's done it for what his 20th year now? The benefits would be, it's hard to put a measure on that."
Wilson added that if the Jets acquired Rodgers, they'd instantly become contenders. He said:
"When you get someone like Aaron Rodgers, you immediately become a contender. Knowing what we had last year and what we put on film, we know we're close. If we get someone like him, I immediately expect to be there. To be in the spot where we should be at come next season."
Jets WR Garrett Wilson is one of the candidates to win Offensive Rookie of the Year
Nobody would benefit more from the Jets' acquisition of Aaron Rodgers than wide receiver Garrett Wilson.
Wilson had a stellar rookie year. The first-year receiver out of Ohio State recorded 82 receptions for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns.
He was the most productive rookie wide receiver while having Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Mike White throw him the ball this season.
If Wilson can have a quarterback like Rodgers throwing at him in his second season, then the sky is the limit for the 22-year-old.
After a productive first season, Wilson is one of AP's leading candidates to win Offensive Rookie of the Year
