After coaching at the University of Michigan from 2015-2023, Jim Harbaugh is back in the NFL as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. He previously served as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014.
After winning the 2024 NCAA National Championship with the University of Michigan, Harbaugh made his return to the NFL to replace Brandon Staley, who started the 2023 season as the Chargers' head coach. Staley was fired in Dec. 2023, and Harbaugh was hired as the head coach in January 2024. Jim Harbaugh will have an interesting Week 12 matchup against his brother John and the Baltimore Ravens.
Ahead of their sibling rivalry showdown, John and Jim's father, Jack, said he won't be in the stands for their sure-to-be epic matchup. Instead, he'll be watching the game in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife Ann, while they celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary.
Jack stated on the Adam Jones Podcast:

"We will not be, I want to go on record you want to share this. We will not be at the November 25th game. We're going to be right here in Ann Arbor celebrating that 63rd wedding anniversary. So, we'll be doing that but it's always fun when you go to the games."

How many times have Jim Harbaugh and John Harbaugh faced each other?
When the Los Angeles Chargers host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12 in primetime, it will be the third head coach meeting between the two brothers.
The first time they coached against each other in the NFL came in 2011, when the Ravens earned a low-scoring 16-6 Thanksgiving Day victory.
The next time the two brothers faced off, big stakes were on the line. Both the San Francisco 49ers and Ravens were conference champions during the 2012 seasons, setting up a showdown at Super Bowl XLVII.
In a back-and-forth game with a lot of drama, it was the Ravens and John Harbaugh who came out on top, earning a 37-34 victory. That was the last time the Harbaugh brothers faced each other as coaches.
Jim was in the NFC in his first stint as head coach with the 49ers. Now, he'll be in the AFC conference, the same as his brother. With both brothers coaching in the AFC, we could potentially see an annual Harbaugh Bowl during the regular season.
