Former NFL player Herschel Walker knows a lot about overtime, as the former professional athlete participated in many such games. At 60 years old, he found himself in another overtime situation - this time in politics. The republican candidate for the final senate seat in Georgia found himself in a run-off election with Democrat Raphael Warnock.

Walker lost the race, and the jokes began flying like touchdown passes. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the show host went on a victory lap, roasting the losing former running back. Here's how Jimmy Kimmel put it:

“Walker spent the day making one final push, which is unusual for him. Usually, during the final push, he’s miles away from the hospital at a Waffle House telling a waitress she could be the one... Planned Parenthood’s customer of the year."

Warnock trumped Walker in the race for U.S. Senate by a tally of 51.3 percent of the vote to 48.7 percent. Warnock received 1.8 million votes while the former running back received 1.7 million. The former running back has a reputation as a womanizer and is alleged to have forced his girlfriend to have multiple abortions around the turn of the 2010's.

Herschel Walker was drafted in 1986 by the Dallas Cowboys. Over the course of his career, he played for four teams. After his time with the Cowboys wrapped up in the middle of 1989, he joined the Minnesota Vikings. In 1992, Walker joined the Philadelphia Eagles. In 1995, he joined the other side of the division when he landed briefly with the New York Giants.

In 1996, his career came full circle as he returned to Dallas at 34 years old. After a season as a fullback in 1997, he retired from the league. From 1995-1997, the running back barely produced with any team. However, in 1988, he was as good as any running back in the NFL.
