A fan has claimed that they know more about JJ Watt's life than he himself does.

In a recent tweet, Watt called out people who questioned his authenticity. The NFL star did not hold back, unhappy with the incorrect allegations made.

"Please, tell me more about my own life…," Watt wrote in response.

He accompanied it with a photo of himself and a quote where a seven-year-old JJ was singing praises for Reggie White, his idol. He said:

"Reggie White. He's a good football player. They played really good on Monday. I want to be a football player."

The tweet he replied to belonged to an account that went private, probably looking to avoid the influx of messages and tweets on Twitter.

The person was replying to Watt's original tweet, wondering why the defensive end would choose to lie about a childhood idol.

The original tweet from Watt was a reply to a stat where he was ranked between TJ Watt and White. Watt then referred to White as his 'childhood idol'.

Why was JJ Watt mad at the fan?

The protected tweet actually broke down Watt's timeline, trying to prove that Watt was not being honest. Considering when White played, Watt might not have been his fan at all.

"White retired in 2000," the fan wrote. "and you were born in 89. No 10-11 year old ever said man I Reggie white is my idol at around that age. Quit it with that false humility".

They continued by adding that this was only about Watt, and all he had to do was be real and not fake.

Looking at Watt's own response, he seemed irked by the user's consideration.

Is JJ Watt still playing in 2022?

Despite an atrial fibrillation in September, JJ Watt continues to be well and on the field. A true veteran, Watt is no stranger to serious injuries during his career. In October, some information about Watt's treatment was leaked online.

Though his heart had to be shocked back into place, the 33-year-old was declared fit the very next day.

The Arizona Cardinals will now face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, December 25, 8:20 PM EST.
