Tyrique Stevenson has been attacked from all sides for trash-talking with fans while the Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders game was going on. And as if that wasn't enough, he even helped the Commanders win what would be almost certainly the Bears' game.

In the final few seconds of the game, while the ball was snapped and Commanders QB, Jayden Daniels, was looking for a nearby target, Stevenson was talking to some fans on the bleachers. Just then, Daniels sent the ball flying toward the endzone.

He saw the ball and raced towards the other defenders gathered just outside the endzone. Behind them was Noah Brown, attempting to catch the ball. But Daniels' throw fell short by just a bit and landed on Stevenson's outstretched hand. it bounced off his hands and landed into Brown's. And touchdown Commanders!

JJ Watt, in the latest episode of the "Pat McAfee Show", said that had Tyrique Stevenson continued to trash talk, the ball wouldn't have bounced off his hands. As a result, he believes, Noah Brown would not have made the catch.

"Just my favorite one is the fact that, literally, if he just stayed over there and kept talking s**t, it would probably would have been a better outcome if he just did not come back and tip the ball directly to Noah Brown, that it would have been better for him to just stay over there talking trash."

A day after the game, Stevenson issued a heartfelt apology to fans and his teammates for his massive blunder that ended the Bears' three-game winning streak. The result also saw the Commanders extend their win record to 6-2. Tyrique Stevenson promised that it would never happen again.

“I let the moment get too big and it’s something that can never happen again and won’t ever happen again,” he said.

Tyrique Stevenson caught making bet with Commanders fans before game

As if all of the final quarter drama wasn't enough, after the game, a video surfaced online, showing the Bears DB making a handshake bet with some Commanders fans.

In the video, the fans could be seen telling him, "You ain't ready," and "It's our house."

The Bears will take on the Arizona Cardinals next week and hope to improve their losing record to 0.500.

Will Stevenson use last game's blunder as motivation to push him to play harder and ensure that the Bears win over the Cardinals on Sunday?
