J.K. Dobbins has had a tough time dealing with injuries over the past two seasons. The Baltimore Ravens running back is currently having trouble with his knee and will be sidelined for Week 9. Dobbins missed the entirety of the 2021 NFL season due to an ACL tear. The 23-year-old has featured in just four games for the Ravens this campaign.
In Week 6, Dobbins suffered a knee injury in Baltimore's defeat against the New York Giants. He was forced off the field early due to knee stiffness and hasn't featured since. Dobbins' current knee problem is related to the surgery he underwent last year to repair an ACL tear. This time, however, he had arthroscopic surgery to remove scar tissue.
As per reports, Dobbins' injury is set to keep him out of action for at least four to six weeks. The running back has also been ruled out for the clash against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9. The running back is one of Lamar Jackson's favorite attacking options on the field. In Dobbins' absence, Baltimore will field either Kenyan Drake, Gus Edwards, or Justice Hill.

J.K. Dobbins stats and fantasy outlook
J.K. Dobbins has managed to put up 123 yards in 35 attempts this season with one touchdown to his name. With these stats, the Ravens star has added 28.2 fantasy points in four games.
Given that Dobbins will be unavailable when John Harbaugh's side travel to New Orleans in Week 9, you should not include him in your fantasy team. Given his injury history, he cannot realistically be relied upon in the future. It is worth keeping hold of J.K. Dobbins until a later date, but in the meantime you will need a solid placeholder.
Naming potential replacements for the running back can be tricky as the best names are hard to land. Here are some plausible running backs that you can attempt to trade for or pick up on waivers:
- Travis Etienne Jr.
- Gus Edwards
- James Conner
- Miles Sanders
- Michael Carter
- David Montgomery
- Khalil Herbert
- Nyheim Hines
- Jamaal Williams
- D'Onta Foreman
- Chuba Hubbard
