Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow plans to make sure his teammate Ja'Marr Chase gets the triple crown. Chase currently leads the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
The Bengals play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday in a must-win game for their playoff hopes. However, the extra goal for Burrow and the Bengals is to make sure Chase wins the triple crown.
“Make sure he gets it,” Burrow said, via NBC. “I think a couple of [categories] are pretty out of reach for everybody else. I think he’s got a seven- or eight-catch lead.
“He works for it. He grinds for it. He’s a once-in-a-lifetime-type player and our careers will forever be tied together from college into the pro landscape. That’s just fun to be a part of.”

Chase is in a good spot as he has four more touchdowns than Terry McLaurin and Amon-Ra St. Brown and he has eight more catches than St. Brown, while also being 133 yards up on Justin Jefferson. If Chase can get five more catches it should be enough to secure him the triple crown.
Chase has 117 receptions for 1,612 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. Since being selected fifth overall in the 2021 NFL draft, Chase has over 1,000 receiving yards in every season.
Joe Burrow's Bengals ready for do-or-die Week 18
The Cincinnati Bengals have a slight chance of making the playoffs, despite their poor start. Cincinnati must beat Pittsburgh in Week 18 while the Bengals also need the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos to lose to make the playoffs.
"It's going to be another do-or-die [in Pittsburgh]," cornerback Mike Hilton said after the win Saturday, via team website. "We have to go out there and win a tough game against a good opponent.
"Obviously we need some things outside our control to happen, but tonight was big for us to even have a shot. That's all you can ask for at this point in the year."
Joe Burrow, meanwhile, says the focus is just on the Steelers, and whatever happens, happens.
"We found our way back into it," Joe Burrow said. "All we can do now is control what we can control and try to get a big win next week."
The Bengals are 1.5-point favorites on the road against the Steelers on Saturday and previously lost at home to Pittsburgh by a 44-38 score at the start of December.
