Just one game to go before the 2024 season comes to an end for the New York Jets. They hoped that with a healthy Aaron Rodgers this season, they might just break their 13-year playoff drought, but that did not happen and they extended it to 14.

Their final game of the season is against their divisional rivals, the Miami Dolphins. But even before the game started, the team became the subject of many jokes. When the team spread out its giant banner held up by fans on all edges, it turned out that the banner was upside down.

As the picture went viral on social media, NFL fans poured in with their jokes. One fan said that the entire franchise was a joke.

Another fan noted that when a flag is being flown upside down, it's a sign of distress and a call for help.

"Flying a flag upside down is a sign of distress."

Other fans also chimed in with their taunts and ridiculed the Jets.

"Yeah that about sums this season up," one fan said.
"Sums up Jets season perfectly," another fan joked.
"A picture is worth a thousand GM/coaching changes," one fan remarked.
"This captures the essence of the organization," another fan said.

When fans on the ground realized this, it was soon rolled up and they carried it inside.

Jets HC-hopeful does not think Aaron Rodgers will return in 2025

During a pregame show, when Rex Ryan was asked if he saw Aaron Rodgers returning in 2025 as the Jets QB, he said no.

Rodgers himself had previously acknowledged that there was a chance that he would not be there to play for the team next season, and if that was going to be the case, he was grateful for everything that the team had done for him.

He said:

“I think there’s going to be change here, and if I’m a part of the change, then I just want to make sure everybody knows I have nothing but gratitude for my time here.”
