Jonathan Owens beams with pride as Simone Biles wins SI's Sportsperson of the Year

Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens is celebrating his wife, Simone Biles' recent achievement. The gold medal-winning gymnast was named Sports Illustrated's "Sportsperson of the Year" after her incredible performance throughout the 2024 season, including three golds and one silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

On Thursday, Owens acknowledged his wife's big accomplishment by resharing Team USA's post on his Instagram Story. He also added a sweet caption to it.

"So proud of you baby," Owens wrote.

Owens shared another post that recognized Biles and added six heart emojis to show his excitement.

Biles' dominance not only nationally but also on the world stage led to her being chosen for the honor. She became the most decorated gymnast of all time after winning a gold medal in the women's team event, all-around and the vault.

Simone Biles supported Jonathan Owens while wearing custom Bears outfit

Jonathan Owens and the Chicago Bears took on the Seattle Seahawks on a rainy night on Dec. 26. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, Simone Biles attended the game at Soldier Field and made her routine stop on the sidelines before kickoff.

Biles' has had an array of gameday outfits that show her support for Owens and the Bears. Week 17's outfit was one-of-a-kind, as she wore a hooded sweatshirt and matching drawstring pants which featured images of the safety in his Bears uniform. The pants and back of the sweatshirt featured his #36 jersey number.

"Thursday night football," Biles captioned on Sunday.

Biles shared photos of the custom-made outfit in an Instagram post. She paired the look with white heels and a small, white Chanel handbag.

Despite her busy schedule which featured the "Gold over America Tour" during the fall, the Olympian has found ways to show support for her husband during the 2024 NFL season, just as he did when he took a few days off from training camp to attend the Olympic Games in July.
