The Indianapolis Colts will be without star running back Jonathan Taylor ahead of their Week 9 Sunday matchup vs. the New England Patriots
Taylor re-aggravated the same ankle injury that forced him to miss two games this season.
Back-up running back Deon Jackson will take duty for the injured Taylor as they no longer have Nyheim Hines as he was traded to the Buffalo Bills.

Jonathan Taylor has had a down year in 2022 for Colts
Following an MVP-like season a year ago and a stellar rookie year, Taylor has had a down year in 2022 thus far.
He has missed two games thus far and this Sunday's game against the Patriots will be the third game he's missed this season. In six games this season, Taylor has 107 carries, 462 yards and just one rushing touchdown. He has 16 receptions for 71 yards.
Last season, Taylor had one of the best running back seasons in NFL history. He rushed for 1,811 yards on 332 attempts while averaging 5.2 yards per carry. He led the league in rushing touchdowns with 18 while adding 40 catches for 360 yards and two touchdowns. He earned First-Team All-Pro honors while making his first Pro-Bowl.
As a rookie, Taylor had 232 carries, 1,169 yards and 11 touchdowns.
To say Taylor has had an underwhelming season thus far is fair. He has not produced the numbers he put up in his first two seasons and has missed more time with injuries.
The Colts' next game after facing the Patriots this week will be in Las Vegas vs. the Las Vegas Raiders at 4:05 PM ET on Nov. 13. There's a chance Taylor could suit up for that game.
