Jordan Love explains how his contract affected his wedding plans with Ronika Stone

Jordan Love will very fondly remember the summer of 2024 for the rest of his life.

Late in June, he and his longtime girlfriend, professional volleyball player Ronika Stone, became engaged. Then, just a month later, he signed a monstrous four-year, $220-million contract extension with the Green Bay Packers - tying him with Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow for highest-paid player in NFL history.

And as it turns out, said extension has already begun eating into his financial expenses. When asked about the same by The Athletic's Dianna Russini in a special in-camp episode of Scoop City that will be released tomorrow, Love said:

"It does. It goes up."

When will Jordan Love marry Ronika Stone?

The real question among Jordan Love's fans, however, is "When will he and Ronika Stone get married?"

It is standard practice for NFL players to get married between mid-June and mid-July. That coincides with the times when there are no team practices. For a recent example, the San Francisco 49ers' Christian McCaffrey married former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo on June 29.

Love is not breaking away from that trend. In that same interview, he revealed that he and Stone's wedding ceremony would take place on June 22, 2025. However, no location has been set yet:

"I mean she was handling all of that. I was in camp, so there's not much time for me."

Jordan Love thinks Packers are ready for 2024 NFL season after joint practice with Ravens

This Saturday marks the end of the Packers' preseason, as they tussle with the visiting Baltimore Ravens. And if Jordan Love is asked, their form in Thursday's joint practice indicates just how hungry they are to build on their 2023 breakout.

He said:

“I like where we’re at offensively. I think we’re ready to go, get the season started.

During practice, Love was intercepted once by Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith but eventually rebounded with four touchdowns - two to Romeo Doubs, and one each to Christian Watson and tight end Tucker Kraft. Afterwards, he said:

"I think we were a little sloppy in Denver, just a lot of small details that in the grand scheme of the play kind of dictate whether it’s a good play or not. I think just being locked into all those little details, and we did a great job of doing that today... definitely an emphasis to have a better start.”

The game kicks off at 1 PM ET and can be viewed on the teams' respective NBC affiliates WTMJ-TV and WBAL.
