It's another year of Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills' Super Bowl hopes suffering at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. On Sunday night, Buffalo and Kansas City met in Arrowhead Stadium for the fourth postseason meeting between the two franchises over the last five seasons.

For the fourth consecutive time, the Chiefs defeated the Bills in the playoffs, downing Buffalo 32-29 in the AFC Championship to clinch their spot in the Super Bowl, keeping their three-peat hopes alive. Immediately following the loss, fans began calling for Sean McDermott's job as his team's season ended early once again.

During his press conference, Bills quarterback Josh Allen made his feelings known about McDermott, showing support for his head coach.

"It's going to sound weird," Allen started, following the loss. "I'm just so proud of (Sean McDermott). I don't know why he's not recognized more in the awards stuff, that's the cruddy thing about it. Time in and time out he's got us in position. We've won the AFC East the last however many-so years. We're fighting to get over that hump."

Allen showed confidence in his coach as Buffalo continues to navigate through their postseason woes.

Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes exchange blows in fourth postseason meeting

It's always exciting when the Chiefs meet the Bills, due in large part to the quarterbacks leading both teams. Despite another victory for the Chiefs, Josh Allen left it all on the field - as did Patrick Mahomes - in another classic matchup between Buffalo and Kansas City.

Allen completed 22 of 34 passes, throwing for 237 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, he added 11 carries for 39 yards without a turnover in Sunday night's contest.

Mahomes shined, completing 18 of 26 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown with 11 carries for 43 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground in his team's biggest matchup of the season.

Each team's respective rushing attack shined as well, as the Chiefs finished with 35 carries for 135 yards and three touchdowns as a team, while the Bills countered with 32 carries for 147 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 4.6 yards per carry as a team.

The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl for the second time in three seasons.
