On Saturday, Josh Allen's ex-girlfriend, Brittany Williams, made headlines after she allegedly threw a harsh jab at NFL players, which seemed like a dig at the Bills QB. The now-viral comment, where Brittany called the NFL players “brain-dead CTE” sufferers, came after Allen announced his engagement to Hollywood actress, Hailee Steinfeld.
As the screenshots of Brittany's comment took the internet by storm, her alleged good friend, Sophie Julia moved to douse the flames. Right after the comments went viral, Brittany took to her Instagram Story and denied making any sort of inflammatory comment and shifted the blame to a cyber hacker.
“My accounts have been hacked several times tonight. Trying to get it resolved. If anyone has any tips please LM (let me know)," read the IG Story which was uploaded and posted on Saturday morning.
Now, Brittany's close friend, Sophie Julia, took to Instagram to defend her. Accusing the hacker of online harassment, Sophie wrote:

"Need to speak up on behalf of my good friend...People are so evil right now & I gotta say something. Britt would NEVER in a million years speak in the way that person commented. She’s also single (and thriving) so that doesn’t even make sense. Her accounts (Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram) got hacked the other night & she’s being blackmailed."
Furthermore, Sophie revealed how Brittany has reached out to META for help to recover her compromised social media accounts. Moreover, Sophie also attached a screenshot of her DM with Brittany Williams, where she responds to the news of Josh Allen’s engagement to Hailee Steinfeld.
On Friday afternoon, Sophie texted Brittany, writing:
"Checking on u my girl. U ok?"
To which, Brittany replied calmly:
"Aw love you sm. Thanks for checking! Yes I’m so good.. luckily have known for about a week now so had time to process."
Additionally, Sophie asked the curious people to "stop giving the lunatic hacker" attention. That said, the timing of Brittany getting hacked alongside Josh Allen's high-profile news is what created the sensation behind the situation.
Josh Allen and Brittany Williams were childhood sweethearts
Josh and Brittany first met each other at a birthday party for the QB's brother when they were kids. However, after that day, their lives drifted apart. The exes met each other again when they turned teens after a photo of Josh caught Brittany's attention, which led to her mother arranging a meeting at Allen’s family restaurant.
As sparks flew, Brittany decided to “just go for it" and kissed the now-Bills star in the parking lot.
As Josh Allen rose to fame and was eventually drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2018, the couple moved to New York. From building a house in Buffalo to raising their silver Labrador, Sky, whom they introduced to fans in 2021, the former lovebirds shared several milestones together.
Nevertheless, they quietly parted ways in 2023 after six years together. Nobody knows what exactly went wrong.
