Gordon agreed a one-year, $990,000 deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, which included a $990,000 average yearly pay. In nine years in the NFL, he earned $6,502,784 in total, according to Spotrac.
Josh Gordon’s NFL timeline
Josh Gordon agreed to play football at Baylor University on a sports scholarship. However, he moved to the University of Utah, where he completed his last season of NCAA football.
The Cleveland Browns selected Gordon in the second round of the 2012 supplemental draft. He caught 50 passes for 805 yards and five touchdowns in an outstanding debut season.
His suspension in 2013 due to a positive drug test forced him to sit out two games. After he was nominated to the All-Pro first team, Gordon went on to have his most productive NFL season, racking up 1,646 yards and nine TDs.
Police apprehended Gordon in 2014 for DWI, which led to a 10-game suspension. Additional violations of the league's drug policy led to a season-long ban in 2015.
Josh Gordon became the first player in NFL history to have two straight regular-season games with at least 200 yards receiving. He established records for the most receiving yards in a single season in a four-game stretch in NFL history, as well as for the Cleveland Browns.
Before being released by the Tennessee Titans in October 2022, he also played for the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL.
