Josh Jacobs has donned a metaphorical Santa hat this Christmas season. As reported by NFL news aggregator, Dov Kleiman, the Green Bay Packers running back surprise-splurged over $100,000 on diamond chains. He gifted each of his linemen a sparkling token of appreciation for their work in the trenches.

It certainly seems like a scene straight out of a holiday movie because it's not every day someone gets a diamond chain from a teammate.

In the 2024 NFL season, the Packers' offensive line has had a stellar performance. The team has allowed just 16 sacks, keeping the quarterback upright. Opponents, by comparison, surrendered 43 sacks.

This protection has led to 27 passing touchdowns and an average of 8.4 yards per attempt.

On the ground, the offensive line was equally formidable with 2,209 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Averaging 4.7 yards per carry, Green Bay has outperformed opponents, who managed only 4.1 yards per attempt and 12 scores.

Discipline also played a crucial role. The Packers have drawn 100 penalties for 740 yards. It is cleaner than opponents' 848 yards on the same number of infractions. Since the Packers avoided costly mistakes, it helped the team to dominate time of possession by averaging nearly 59 minutes of ball control per game.

Josh Jacobs joins the likes of Joe Burrow who presented the Bengals' O-line with an unconventional gift

Like Josh Jacobs, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow turned heads this holiday season with a thoughtful gift for his offensive line: Japanese katana swords.

“Well, they wanted guns … And I was like, ‘I don’t know about guns, guys.'” Burrow said with a laugh during a recent news conference. “I was in the weapon mindset, and I was like, ‘What’s a cool weapon?' Samurai swords, I think, are pretty dang cool.”

Each lineman received a custom katana with a unique backstory attached to the blade. Bengals tackle Orlando Brown called the gesture “the most ancient form of respect.”

Burrow credited his employee, Nicole, for helping source the swords.

The timing of the gift couldn’t have been better since the Cincinnati Bengals are riding a three-game winning streak, which has given some hope for playoff spots.
