Former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick shared his thoughts about Tom Brady's broadcasting career. It's been a few years since Brady was on the field. These days, he's often seen in a suit and tie, hearing his name in game weeks from Fox's broadcasting booth.

Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX to step into broadcasting and made his debut this year in Week 1 when the Dallas Cowboys took on the Cleveland Browns. Since then, he has gone about his day job with little fuss, but there have been mixed reviews about how much Brady could offer in his new role off the field.

Fitzpatrick, who played for nine different teams, has a history with Brady. While they haven't quite seen eye-to-eye over the years, Fitzpatrick paid Brady a compliment during the Week 17 Packers vs Vikings broadcast.

"As much as it pains my to say it, I have really enjoyed getting a glimpse into the mind of Tom Brady during some of these situations in the second half. He sure does seem to have this playing with a lead thing down," the former journeyman quarterback tweeted.

Interestingly, there have been a few rumors indicating that Brady could walk away from the $375 million deal he signed with Fox.

Sports media insider Andrew Marchand reported for The Athletic that there's a slight chance Brady could look to get more involved with the Las Vegas Raiders in the upcoming season after buying 5% of the franchise last year.

Revisiting Tom Brady and Ryan Fitzpatrick's beef

Brady and Fitzpatrick went at it a few years ago. At the time, Fitzpatrick said that he felt Brady disrespected him when they faced off on the gridiron. For his part, Brady threw what appeared to be a veiled shot at Fitzpatrick during an episode of The Shop:

“One of the teams, they weren't interested at the very end. I was thinking, you're sticking with that mother (expletive)? Are you serious?”

At the time, Brady was reportedly in talks to land with the Miami Dolphins. However, the franchise was later hit with a slap on the wrist for tampering.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was hit with a $1.5 million fine, while the franchise was also docked a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a third-rounder in the 2024 draft.
