Julian Edelman explains why Tom Brady’s roast was fun despite bordering close to inappropriate

Even though Tom Brady's Netflix roast was a success, it did attract quite some controversy towards it. Some fans labeled the roast inappropriate, considering there were no limits to what was said to Brady, including jokes about ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.

However, Julian Edelman, Tom Brady's former Patriots teammate and a roast panelist, feels otherwise. Julian Edelman was recently interviewed by People, during which the former wide receiver talked about Tom Brady's Netflix roast being fun, even though some people called it inappropriate.

"I thought it was a fun night. Everyone had super thick skin and we all knew what we were there for, and that was to make fun of each other," Julian Edelman said.

"I mean, it felt very similar to a locker room — we just did in front of people, which you would feel would be a little inappropriate, but it was fun. It felt like a big therapeutic session between everyone that was there, if you know what I mean," Edelman concluded.

Julian Edelman expressed how the Netflix roast gave him a hit of nostalgia, as it was something similar to being in a locker room. Considering it was pretty similar to that, it might have left some fans unimpressed. However, at the end, it was an ejoyable experience for Julian Edelman.

Julian Edelman isn't the only Patriots teammate who roasted Tom Brady and had a great time. There was one more teammate who didn't just enjoy Brady's Netflix roast but it was more like a dream job for him.

Rob Gronkowski’s girlfriend Camille Kostek is a cover page model for SI Swimsuit, which launched its 60th Anniversary issue last month. During the launch party of the issue's release, Rob Gronkowski threw light on boyfriend Rob Gronkowski's experience at Tom Brady's Netflix roast.

Camille Kostek revealed how ripping Brady in front of his teammates was a dream job for the former Patriots star. Talking about the same, the Camille Kostek said:

"It was like a dream job for him. To just rip on all of his teammates and just be a class clown for everybody to watch. He is still laughing to this day reminiscing on the jokes. I think I memorized the roast now. I can tell you what jokes Nikki, Bill, Tony, everyone said by now.”

Going forward in the conversation, Kostek also said how Rob Gronkowski was quite nervous about the event, considering they came back from her sister's wedding just a day prior to the roast. However, things went well on the roast day, and Rob Gronkowski did a great job roasting his former quarterback.
