In an AFC East showdown on Sunday, the New York Jets faced the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium. During the game, Aaron Rodgers' costly red-zone interception stalled the Jets' scoring attempt.

Fans slammed the veteran quarterback for the interception.

"Aaron Rodgers just go ahead and retire dude," one fan wrote.
"Should Aaron Rodgers Retire?" another fan started a poll with options 'Yes' or 'No.'

Meanwhile, a third fan had a similar opinion.

"Rodgers really should be retiring after next week lol."

More fans joined the chorus.

With just minutes left in the first half, Rodgers' pass was deflected at the line and picked off at the Bills' 16-yard line. Consequently, it left the Jets empty-handed during the drive.

It was more upsetting because the interception came when the team needed some momentum against their divisional rivals. That said, the interception was Rodgers’ first in four weeks and only his second in nine games.

Aaron Rodgers' reply about his future in the Big Apple

On Tuesday, Aaron Rodgers was asked if the New York Jets owner Woody Johnson wants him to continue playing for the team in 2025.

Rodgers said:

"You should ask Woody."

He also replied with a "no" when further asked whether he had any conversation with Johnson.

Though Rodgers is under contract for 2025, insiders suggest Johnson may part ways with the four-time MVP.

Well, A-Rod appears to be preparing for multiple scenarios. He has acknowledged the possibility of being released after the season ends on Jan. 6. However, he has also expressed gratitude for his time in New York.

Meanwhile, the locker room tension is also under scrutiny.

For instance, WR Garrett Wilson has been frustrated about his diminishing role in the offense since Davante Adams arrived in Week 7.

Regarding this, Rodgers has also clarified that he has not spoken to Wilson for a long time.

"I've talked to him throughout the season about some of [his frustrations]," Rodgers said.

He added:

"Not this week. No, not in the last couple of weeks, but it's not the first time. So, there's been conversations about it."

Before joining the Jets, Rodgers played for the Green Bay Packers for 18 seasons.
