Justice Hill or Kenyan Drake: Who is a better fantasy pick?

Justice Hill and Kenyan Drake are running backs for the Baltimore Ravens. Both players are backups to RB1 Gus Edwards, who has been on the reserve/PUP list since August 23, 2022.

Kenyan Drake serves as the primary backup to Edwards. He has taken the most snaps amongst all Baltimore Ravens running backs since the beginning of the current season.

Drake is a fast, tall, and strong running back who plays with a chip on his shoulder. He has rushed for 189 yards and one touchdown in five games played this season and has served as an aerial threat when needed.

On the other hand, Justice Hill is the third running back on the Baltimore Ravens depth chart, serving as the second backup to the first-choice Gus Edwards.

Justice Hill is the shortest running back in the Baltimore backfield, but what he lacks in height, he makes up for in speed. He had the fastest 40-yard dash time for all running backs and the best vertical and broad jump in the 2019 NFL Combine.

He was then drafted 113th overall by the Ravens, joining a stacked running back department. In the 2022 NFL season, Hill has amassed 151 yards and no touchdowns in the five games that he has played.

Verdict: Kenyan Drake is a better fantasy pick thanks to his rushing ability, intangibles, and place on the Ravens' depth chart.

Previous season statistics of Justice Hill and Kenyan Drake

Justice Hill has no statistics to go by in the 2021 NFL season. On September 6, 2021, the Oklahoma State alum tore his Achilles, prematurely ending his season. However, he made a full recovery and was finally able to make his comeback to the Gridiron in the first game of the 2022 NFL season.

On the other hand, Kenyan Drake was a part of the Las Vegas Raiders' 2021 NFL season. As a member of the Raiders, he rushed for 254 yards and had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown for the season. He then signed a deal to be a part of the Baltimore Ravens for the 2022 NFL season.

Who will score more fantasy football points in 2022, Justice Hill or Kenyan Drake?

Justice Hill has been through a tough time recovering from an Achilles injury, one of the worst that a professional athlete can go through during his career. However, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-born player is made of steel, and he has made a full recovery to take his place as a member of the Ravens' stacked backfield.

On the other hand, Kenyan Drake is looking for a career rennaissance as he still searches for his best form since the Arizona Cardinals days of the 2020 season. So far, he has taken his chance as a backup to Gus Edwards, and he is a key reason why Edwards hasn't been rushed back from injury.

Verdict: Kenyan Drake will score more fantasy points than Justice Hill in 2022. Drake is currently on 27.3, while Hill has 15.0 points. In the coming weeks, Drake will likely take more snaps than Hill, so we are still determining how the lead will be cut.
