One of the most anticipated matchups of the week was Jets rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner lining up with Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

It was one the best games on paper heading into Week 13 was the Minnesota Vikings vs. the New York Jets. The game came down to the wire, with the Vikings stopping the Jets from scoring in the redzone twice in the last couple of minutes.

The Jets' defense as a whole did a good job at containing Jefferson, as he was held to just 45 receiving yards. He recorded seven catches and only averaged 6.4 yards per catch while scoring a touchdown.

New York Jets cornerback DJ Reed thinks the Jets and himself had Jefferson on lock during the game.

Reed spoke with local reporters after the Jets' loss to the Vikings and was asked how he felt about what they did against Jefferson.

Reed said:

"I was in his shit all game. He got that one route on me, so I'm frustrated but I feel like I did a great job containing him so I mean it's just frustrating cause I don't wanna give up a touchdown, I don't wanna be the reason my team lose, so I'mma look at it see what I could do to play better but other than that, I held my own for sure against him."

This caused Jefferson to respond to the Tweet by saying:

"In what shit You can't talk having safety help... call me when yo coach trust you to go 1v1."

The Minnesota Vikings are still one of the best teams in the NFL as they improved to 10-2

Following yesterday's victory, the Vikings have improved to 10-2 this season through 13 weeks.

If the Detroit Lions lost yesterday to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Vikings would have clinched the division. They are second in the NFC behind the Philadelphia Eagles, who have a league-best 11-1 record.

Ironically, one of the Vikings' two losses came to the Eagles in week 2, as they fell 24-7 to them. They went on a seven-game win streak after the loss before running into the Dallas Cowboys.

Dallas handed them their biggest loss of the season as they blew them out 40-3. Minnesota has won two-straights since the blowout loss and is looking to finish the season strong, earning them a top seed in the NFC.
