NBA superstar Kevin Durant offered his thoughts on Davante Adams' trade to the New York Jets. A couple of weeks after he requested a trade, the Raiders shipped him to MetLife Stadium, where he is reuniting with former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers.

Playing in New York comes with a lot of pressure from fans and media members. Durant lived that during his time with the Brooklyn Nets and used his experience to explain how Adams could win over the public during Thursday's edition of Kay Adams' show, "Up & Adams."

"Once you play in New York, you realize that it's not as scary as you think," Durant said. "Once you in it, people just like anywhere else. You're gonna get criticized if you don't play well, and they gonna love you when you win. So, just win. And if you come to play, people appreciate the work that you put in on the field.
"And I know Davante is one of those workers who's gonna come to work, do his job. So, I think he gonna get a lot of love there. If they win football games, he's just gonna, you know, it's gonna be bigger than what it was in Vegas."

Durant spent two-and-a-half seasons in Brooklyn, unable to take the Nets to the promised land despite teaming up with James Harden and Kyrie Irving. Adams is joining stars like Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson, and if he clicks with them, the offense could be more dangerous.

Davante Adams reveals his "plan" with Aaron Rodgers and Jets after trade

After the Davante Adams trade was completed, rumors and speculation about his future started going. According to reporter Paul Esden Jr., Adams had a clear message about his plans for the future.

"That's the plan. I never go somewhere in hopes of finding a new home," he said.

Aaron Rodgers echoed those words, saying that his teammate would like to have a long stay in New York.

"I mean, Davante just had a kid two months ago. So, to move his family across the country for a few months, I don't think, is high on his priority list," Rodgers said.

Davante Adams is set to make his debut on Sunday when the Jets visit the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, with presidential candidate Donald Trump reportedly in attendance.
