NBA star Kevin Durant showed his love for Washington Commanders star Brian Robinson Jr. ahead of a much-anticipated matchup against the Detroit Lions. After a hard-fought win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Commanders will take on the No. 1 seed in the NFC on Saturday, hoping to continue their Cinderella story and advance to the championship game.
Durant's Phoenix Suns coincidentally played against a Detroit team, the Pistons, at Little Caesars Arena today. Ahead of this game, the two-time NBA champion showed his appreciation to Robinson by wearing his jersey.
Durant has been vocal about his fanaticism for the Commanders. He's even spent time watching the team prepare for the season and whenever something important happens, he's one of the first high-profile fans to react.

Washington has the chance to send the Lions home with a win tonight and plenty of fans are rallying behind the NFC East franchise. While they aren't the favorite to take this game, Dan Quinn's team poses a threat.
With Jayden Daniels leading the way, the capital team could make more noise in the 2024 NFL playoffs. As for Durant, he might as well be at the game later tonight to support Washington.
Former Commanders quarterback urges Brian Robinson Jr. & other running backs to step up against Lions
On Friday, Robert Griffin III outlined what Washington needs to have to take down tonight's opponents. The former quarterback noted how important Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler will be against Detroit.
"The Washington Commanders have to FIND A RUNNING GAME OUTSIDE OF JAYDEN DANIELS if they are going to beat the juggernaut that is the Detroit Lions. Ekeler and Robinson had 18 carries for 43 yards. 2.3 yards a carry against the Buccaneers last week."
RGIII added that Robinson and Ekeler could work as Daniels' Derrick Henry. The designed quarterback runs could open a door for the running backs to rush downfield and hurt the Lions defense, something Henry and Lamar Jackson do a lot with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Commanders landed here after surprising the NFL with their attractive game. Jayden Daniels proved time and time again that he's ready to become a star in the league, and tonight, he can establish himself as a star.
