Sauce Gardner was not exactly at his best during the New York Jets' 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Among the team's many missed tackles, his made for the biggest "blooper" - on a third down, he attempted to drag down Trey McBride and was instead tossed aside like a toy, allowing the tight end to convert a crucial first down that eventually led to a touchdown.

And as it turned out, at least one person lost much money on the whiff. On a stream on Monday, Kick personality Cuffem verbally eviscerated the two-time All-Pro and Pro Bowl cornerback for costing him $10,000:

"You've been a** the whole year. You've been dirt. Stop f***ing streaming! Stop f***ing around with (former wrestler) Adam Bomb and (OnlyFans star) Corinna Kopf! Stop being in (YouTube personality) Kai Cenat's chat, and get your little sorry s***ty ass in the gym! (Do) you want to be a streamer or a football player?"

Gardner would later issue a response via his Instagram account:

"F*** [your] 10k. Do [something] about it instead of goin live and chattin"

Sauce Gardner posts, then deletes responses to criticism of his missed tackle vs Cardinals TE Trey McBride

The missed play against Trey McBride must have deeply affected Sauce Gardner, as not long after he got into social media altercations with sports reporters.

First was ESPN's Jets correspondent Rich Cimini, who called Gardner's missed tackle "the costliest mistake". The cornerback sarcastically said this (screenshot via Dylan of @nyjetsfansonly):

“Yup, I’m 100% sure me missing that tackle at the beginning of the 2nd quarter for a gain of 17 yards was the costliest miss and that is in fact what lost us the game.”

He later deleted the post.

Later that day, podcast host Matt O'Leary joined in on the Sauce Gardner criticism:

"It was a big deal, Sauce! I'm sorry. I'm sorry you dont like that people have gotten on you because you haven't tackled this year... But you can't just go, 'Oh, woe is me. I'm held to a different standard.'... Enough is enough. Stop passing the blame and get better for a change."

In an also since-deleted response, Gardner said (via Jets X-Factor):

“I am very accountable, and my teammates know. I owe it to them, not you or anybody else on this app. I missed ONE tackle and gave up like 19 yards. Do I want each of those plays back? Of course. But how about you come play corner in the NFL for a week and let me know how it goes?”

Sauce Gardner and his team will next host the also-floundering Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
