The Dallas Cowboys have been very active this off-season despite being a team who generally builds through the draft.
So far, they've made two trades, acquiring former Defensive Player of the Year Stephen Gilmore and wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
The team has signed free agent running back Ronald Jones and offensive lineman Chuma Edoga. They also retained edge rusher Dante Fowler.

One of the Cowboys' biggest critics, Skip Bayless, applauded Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones on Undisputed Wednesday for the moves the team has made this off-season. He labeled Jerry Jones and the Cowboys as the "king of the jungle" right now.
Bayless said:
"Shannon, I am getting such a kick out of this because it's such a kick in your pants. Here's the point that I believe you are missing. What's the old weather cliche about March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb comes in very cold and goes out starting to warm up like the lamb. Jerry Jones March after March does not march anywhere.
"He goes nowhere slowly. He comes in like a lamb and he goes out like a lamb right? All of a sudden, in a shock to me and to Bob Sturm and cowboy nation. Jerry Jones has come in to march like a lion and he has gone out like the king of the jungle. And he has done it while preserving his mantra. We build through the draft.”
Skip added that he thinks Jerry Jones and the Cowboys have won the off-season thus far.
"Jerry just pulled off winning the offseason, so far, we still got a little ways to go. Winning the offseason while still preserving the firepower that they have flexed so often in the draft."
Will Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East in 2023?
The NFC East division was easily the best division in football last season. It saw three playoff teams and was also one of the most competitive divisions in the league.
The Philadelphia Eagles won the division with a 14-3 record and the Dallas Cowboys finished second with a 12-5 record. Then, the New York Giants had a winning record of 9-7.
The Eagles have lost many key players (Javon Hargrave, Miles Sanders, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, T.J. Edwards, Isaac Seumalo) and others this off-season and have also lost both of their coordinators.
Washington is currently in the process of being bought by a new owner(s) and has yet to figure out who their franchise quarterback will be.
The Giants have retained most of their free agents while adding Darren Waller and Parris Campbell to their offense.
It's going to be another competitive year in the NFC East, and anybody could come out on top as NFC East champs.
