Lane Johnson, the Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle, thinks that his former teammate Jason Kelce could be a football coach in the future.

Appearing on former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson's All Facts No Brakes podcast on YouTube, Johnson said:

"I've gotten really good at his cadence, you know. Understanding when he's going to snap the ball so definitely going to miss him in the building. And I think he'll be in, maybe more than we expect, he'll be busy a few days but I really see his passion of being a coach one day I think he could be a really good one, but I think that's where his heart is, eventually down the road I can see him doing that."

Kelce retired from the NFL in March after 13 seasons. Kelce retired as a Super Bowl champion, a six-time First-Team All-Pro, a seven-time Pro Bowler and started 193 career games. He has been a huge part of Philadelphia's success as their center.

Another one of their top offensive lineman in the last 10 years has been Lane Johnson. Johnson has been named to five Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams since his arrival in 2013.

What are Jason Kelce's post-NFL plans?

Becoming a coach with the Philadelphia Eagles or, in general, certainly seems like an option for Jason Kelce.

On his New Heights podcast that he hosts with his brother, Travis, Jason hinted at possibly coaching in the near future.

"I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do during the season," Kelce said. "Obviously, I'm not going to be a full-time coach, but is there a level that I can help out the team still or help out young guys, figure out if there's a role there."

After the Eagles were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, Jason supported his brother Travis and appeared at their postseason games, including the Super Bowl. In April, he and former teammate Lane Johnson participated in WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia.

On April 29, it was announced that Kelce would be joining ESPN's Monday Night Countdown during the 2024 season.
