Rashee Rice is still awaiting a potential discipline from the NFL for a series of off-field controversies. He was involved in a six-car crash in Dallas in April after reportedly driving 119 MPH in a Lamborghini and illegally leaving the scene of the accident. He also allegedly assaulted a photographer in a nightclub shortly after the driving incident.
Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt commented on the situation to Kansas City Star columnist Sam McDowell. According to Hunt, there have not yet been any conversations with the NFL regarding a potential suspension for his star wide receiver.
Coach Andy Reid is apparently on the same page as Clark Hunt, according to McDowell. Reid also claimed that he hasn't heard anything so far about what Rice's punishment may be for his actions during the offseason.

It's unclear exactly what type of discipline Rashee Rice will receive for his involvement, but most assume that a punishment is coming. A potential suspension appears to be a realistic possibility, but that will be at the discretion of commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL front office.
Chiefs could be preparing for 2024 NFL season without Rashee Rice
While it's unclear at this point if Rashee Rice will be suspended and how much time he will miss if he is, the Kansas City Chiefs appear to be setting up alternative plans for their wide receiver position ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
Rice emerged as their clear leader in the position last season, giving Patrick Mahomes another reliable option in addition to tight end Travis Kelce.
Rice had a breakout rookie season with the Chiefs last year, recording 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. He was a major factor during the team's Super Bowl-winning run. In four postseason games, he turned in 26 receptions for 262 yards and a touchdown.
His strong first season suggests that Rashee Rice would be a key piece of their offense for the upcoming season. His potential suspension could complicate things, but the Chiefs appear to have brought in some reinforcements as insurance for their passing offense.
They selected Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and also brought in veteran Marquise Brown during the offseason.
