"Leave us alone" - Bills Mafia hits back over fresh reminder of Patrick Mahomes x Xavier Worthy NFL draft misstep

Patrick Mahomes and his new weapon Xavier Worthy have taken over the internet with their practice drills at training camp. However, one of the most affected fanbases due to this seems to be that of the Chiefs’ AFC rivals, the Bills.

The Buffalo Bills had the No. 28 pick in this year’s draft but decided to trade it, along with their fourth-round pick, to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bills received the Chiefs’ 32nd pick as well as their third-rounder while swapping seventh-round picks.

After a video of Patrick Mahomes throwing a 60-yard pass to Xavier Worthy went viral, the Bills Mafia shared their take on the situation.

“Just so we are clear, this is the Buffalo Bills fault,” posted a Chiefs fan page on X (previously Twitter).

This post directly poking fun at Bills fans was enough to rile them up.

“Y’all can have your superbowl and leave us alone man”.

“First Mahomes and now Worthy.. i’m sick.”

Some of the Bills Mafia tried deflecting, saying the franchise didn’t want to draft Xavier Worthy in the first place.

“If the Bills really wanted him.. they wouldn’t even think about trading their pick,” wrote one fan.

“Bills weren’t taking him so y'all would have probably got him anyway,” wrote another fan.

A few fans reminded everyone the clip was from a practice session, not a game.

“A touch football, non-existent practice TD burning KCs defense? Ohhh I'm feeling the burn,” wrote one fan.

“We’re talking practice? Practice?” wrote another fan.

Patrick Mahomes and Xavier Worthy’s connection

Chiefs fans have already pinned their hopes on Patrick Mahomes lifting another Lombardi Trophy on the back of the QB’s connection with his new wide receiver. Worthy is making new fans, including Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes, by showing off his abilities.

With the fate of Rashee Rice still undecided, Xavier Worthy is bound to get a lot of snaps at least in practice. Patrick Mahomes is hoping they can recreate this magic during the regular season or better yet the playoffs.
