The Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans completed a trade for Malik Willis earlier today, sending the 25-year-old quarterback to Lambeau Field in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick. The Packers already have one of the most exciting young quarterbacks on the roster, and if they can help Willis develop like they did with Jordan Love, this would be a huge win.

Willis didn't have a chance to showcase his talents with the Titans, and this fresh start could bring benefits to his career. If the Packers are known for something, that's the way they can develop star-level quarterbacks despite having an established signal-caller on the roster.

NFL fans had something to say about the Malik Willis trade, with some disagreeing with the move and trying to bring down Willis while others were more optimistic.

"Willis never developed," one fan said.
"Bro's never going to play a snap in Green Bay 😭," another fan predicted.
"Bro is gonna become a water boy by the end of the year," another fan wrote.
"Another legendary Green Bay QB loading…," one fan said.

Malik Willis couldn't shine with the Tennessee Titans

The past couple of seasons were tumultuous for Malik Willis, who was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 86th overall pick. In two years with the team, he played 11 games, attempting 66 passes and completing 35 of them. He boasts a 53.0 completion percentage while throwing for 350 yards and getting picked three times while having zero touchdowns.

Willis showed potential during his time with the Titans, but with not many roster spots left, the team decided to pick Will Levis and Mason Rudolph over Willis.

The Packers can be a blessing for Malik Willis

The Green Bay Packers have seemingly found their third straight future Hall of Fame quarterback in Jordan Love. At 25, Love played his first full season with the Packers in 2023 and demonstrated that he was ready to play on the big stage.

Playing under Matt LaFleur could be what Willis needs at this point in his career. The Packers developed Aaron Rodgers while Brett Favre was still on the roster and Love had a similar experience to A-Rod, which was credited as one of the reasons why he requested a trade away from Green Bay.

Willis is still young, and if this situation works in his favor, the Packers could have a terrific duo or a player that could get them a lot in return in another Malik Willis trade.
