Quarterback Josh Allen has made a strong case for NFL MVP this season. His Buffalo Bills are 12-3 and are likely on track to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs once more.
Former running back LeSean McCoy, who was once a teammate of Allen's in Buffalo, had some advice for the quarterback heading into the final two games of the season.
On Friday's episode of FOX Sports' "The Facility," McCoy said that Allen needs to show the world why he is an MVP candidate. He said stats already show that but he needs to truly put on a show to convince the voters that he is the best in the league.
"I'm not asking for a crazy, historical type of game where six touchdowns like he did before 400 yards, but I do need Josh Allen to show us why he is MVP, and that means he needs to be the best player on the field," McCoy said. "Last year when we talk about how Lamar just won the MVP with all stats on all numbers, but I watched him play against the best team in football, the Niners, and guess what, he was the best player on the field.

"I need Josh Allen to put that franchise hat on, like I gave you when he was a rookie. Put that cape on offensive weapons that you have, that people might not know, but we know who you is. I think that 17 to show the world. Listen, I know it's a tight MVP race."
LeSean McCoy suggested the MVP race may come down to Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback who has already won the coveted award twice, has put on a show this season whether making plays with his arm or his legs. Either way, it will be a tough competition to see who is the NFL's "Most Valuable Player."
Josh Allen was gifted "MVP" themed gift by teammates
Josh Allen may be considered an MVP candidate, but his teammates feel he is already one. On Christmas Day, Buffalo Bills offensive linemen gifted their quarterback a custom chain that featured his jersey number and "MVP" above it.
The quarterback can be seen in a video that was posted by tackle Dion Dawkins and reshared by the NFL, already wearing the custom piece.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback has 38 total touchdowns this season, including 11 rushing. He has thrown for 3,549 and rushed for 514 yards.
