New York Jets fans are hoping Mike Vrabel will be the next head coach of the team. The Jets have started to conduct interviews for their vacant coaching position.

On Friday morning, it was reported that the Jets will interview Vrabel. The hope for New York fans is that billionaire owner Woody Johnson, who is worth $8.78 billion as per Bloomberg, can get a deal done with Vrabel to be the team's next coach.

"Lock all the doors," a fan wrote.

There were of course the few who had doubts.

"He wants to go to a team with a promising young quarterback and stable ownership. Jets have neither," a fan added.

Vrabel is one of the top coaches available and many Jets fans are hoping he will want to be New York's next head coach.

"Former coach of the year. No nonsense, culture guy. Has proven it in the past when giving a decent enough roster. Firing/release was very questionable. Ben Johnson is your guy if you wanna get cute. Mike Vrable a leader of Men," a fan added.
"If the Jets ever want to get back to being a playoff football team hiring Vrabel is the start," a fan wrote.

Vrabel spent the 2024 season as a consultant with the Cleveland Browns after being let go from the Tennessee Titans.

"Why would anyone want to work for Woody Johnson? Are the Jets in rebuild or bigger after the Aaron Rodgers debacle?," a fan added.
"NOTHING will matter unless Woody sells. Simple as that," another fan wrote.

Vrabel was the head coach of the Titans from 2018 until 2023 and he went 54-45. He led the Titans to the playoffs in three of his six years, including going to the AFC Championship Game in 2019.

Mike Vrabel wanted to coach again

After being fired from the Tennessee Titans, Mike Vrabel didn't get a head coaching job in 2024.

Ultimately, Vrabel took a consultant role with the Browns and he said his goal is to be a head coach in the NFL again.

"At the right time," Vrabel said in July, via ESPN. "There's a time and place for that. It's not going to be anytime soon. So, I think the things that I'll ultimately learn here may help me the next time that I get an opportunity to have one of those interviews."

Mike Vrabel is considered one of the top coaching candidates available.
