Jabrill Peppers did not play the Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins, he was out with a shoulder injury. However, NFL fans received shocking news on Monday morning as details of the safety’s arrest surfaced.
The New England Patriots signed Peppers in 2022 for a one-year deal. Due to his solid performances, the safety has signed a new contract every year since then. In July, the 29-year-old signed a three-year deal with the Patriots worth $30 million, however, that could be in jeopardy.
Jabrill Peppers was arrested Saturday morning before the Patriots took the field for their Week 5 game. The safety has been charged with multiple offenses that will not go down well with the fans and the league.
“Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers was arrested early Saturday morning in Braintree, Massachusetts, per Boston 25 News. According to police, Peppers faces charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, and possession of a Class B substance.”

Upon hearing the details of the crimes that Peppers has been accused of, fans couldn’t reign in their disappointment. Many want Peppers behind bars and suspended from the league.

Several fans suggested that the career of the former first-round draft pick (2017 NFL draft) is over after being named in such crimes.

Jerod Mayo speaks up on the future of Jabrill Peppers at the Patriots
The head coach Jerod Mayo appeared on Boston’s WEEI 93.7 FM and revealed that Jabrill Peppers had informed him of his arrest on Saturday morning. The HC and the Patriots forwarded the issue to the NFL. During his appearance, Mayo was also asked about Peppers’ future in the squad.
“Yeah. I mean, I don't think anyone knows the facts or anything like that. I mean, it's a process,” said Mayo.
The Patriots will face the Houston Texans in their next clash on Sunday, October 13. The fans and the world will find out by then if Peppers will be a part of the Patriots team or not.
