The Dallas Cowboys got the better of their division rival, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Christmas Eve with a 40-34 victory.

During the fourth quarter of the game, Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught a touchdown pass and had a unique celebration. For the celebration, he jokingly stole from the Cowboys' Salvation Army Kettle.

The Eagles took the lead, but Dallas ended up winning 40-34 and had the last laugh.

The Dallas Cowboys team Tweeted a meme out of Smith's celebration of him grabbing "Ls" out of the kettle, referring to handing the team the loss.

The team Tweeted:

"Steal from the @SalvationArmyUS kettle? Pretty sure this TD celebration is what Santa would call “bad behavior.” Merry Christmas, #CowboysNation!"

Dallas improved to 11-4 on the season as the Eagles dropped to 13-2. There's a chance that the Cowboys could win the division if they were to win out and if Philly lost out.

Dak Prescott threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. CeeDee Lamb recorded 10 receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles were with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew. He threw for 355 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions as the Eagles were without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The first time the two teams played earlier this year in Week 4, the Eagles won with a 26-17 victory. During their loss, the Cowboys were without starter Dak Prescott. Backup Cooper Rush filled in for them, but the Eagles picked up the victory. He recorded 181 passing yards, one touchdown, and two picks while Jalen Hurts threw for two touchdowns.

The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles could meet again for the third time this season

The Eagles and Cowboys aren't just the two best teams in the NFC East, but they are also two of the best teams in the entire NFL.

Both teams have clinched a playoff spot and could very well meet down the road again late in the playoffs if both teams go on runs.

The Eagles will likely get a first-round bye as they'll probably win the NFC East. Dallas will likely enter the postseason as the fifth seed and face the NFC South division winner on the road to begin their postseason run.

There are still two weeks left in the regular season and anything can happen from now until then.
