San Francisco 49ers fans have seemingly given up on the 2024 season after another injury to the running back room. The 49ers have already lost Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell to injuries.
Now, fourth-string running back Isaac Guerendo is unlikely to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Following the injury, 49ers fans took to social media to seemingly call quits on the season.
"Madden curse done wiped out the entire RB room," a fan wrote.

"who’s our rb then?," a fan added.
The 49ers entered the season with Super Bowl hopes but the year hasn't gone as planned, in large part due to injuries.
"If we lose this game we’re going to have purdy haters blaming purdy when we legit have no damn RB game who can get positive yardage every down and which makes us one dimensional lol can’t wait for another loss," a fan added.
"Playing RB for Kyle Shanahan is both great and horrible for Running Backs," a fan wrote.
The 49ers had one of the best running back rooms in the NFL but it now has been decimated by injuries.
"At this rate might want to see if Frank Gore wants to come out of retirement," a fan added.
"He should haven't played last Sunday, but that is bad coaching," a fan wrote.
Guerendo has rushed for 381 yards on 73 carries and four touchdowns this season. The rookie was selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Louisville.
Who will replace Isaac Guerendo for the 49ers?
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to start Patrick Taylor Jr. in Week 16 against the Miami Dolphins.
Taylor Jr. is in his first season with the 49ers after three years with the Green Bay Packers. This season, he's rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
The backup to Taylor will be Israel Abanikanda, who was claimed off waivers from the New York Jets. He's yet to rush the ball this season, while in 2023, he rushed for 70 yards on 22 carries.
The 49ers will go on the road to play the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, December 22 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
