The Jacksonville Jaguars unveiled their 1990s throwback uniforms on Thursday. Right in time for their 30th NFL season, the Jaguars brought back the "Prowler Throwbacks," a fan-favorite, nostalgic uniform.

The long-awaited teal jerseys go back to Jacksonville's roots with a slick black helmet, the original Jaguars' logo on the sleeve, and teal jerseys with white numbers outlined in gold and black. The pants will be white with a teal, gold and black stripe pattern and block socks.

Fans were waiting a long time for the Jaguars to bring back their throwback prowler jerseys. Back by popular demand, fans went crazy on social media and expressed how hyped they were as the Jaguars shared pictures of the uniforms.

The Jaguars will debut their throwback jerseys when they face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 on Oct. 6. That's the same day that former Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin will be inducted into the "Pride of Jaguars."

All fans across social media approve and seem to be fans of the Jags' throwbacks.

Here's how more fans reacted to the Jags unveiling their new throwback jerseys:

"The best throwback release video there ever was. For the best throwback uniforms in the biz," one fan wrote.
"Best offseason in history continues," one fan wrote.
"DUUUUUUUUVALLLLLL BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS GLORIOUS DAY," one fan wrote.

Jaguars President Mark Lamping issued an official statement after the jersey unveiling. He knew fans had been wanting the Jags throwbacks to come back.

"Everyhere I go and from every comment I read, it's our fans are longing to see Jaguars' players in throwback uniforms. That persistence paid off and our uniforms reminiscent of the team's early years are back by popular demand," Lamping said.

One of the biggest features of the old-school uniforms is that the big cat is back on the sleeve of the jersey.

Who are some Jacksonville Jaguars legends that used to sport throwback jerseys?

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be celebrating their 30th season as an NFL franchise this season after they were founded in 1995.

The Jaguars sported their throwback Prowler uniforms from 1995–2009. While the Jaguars made some changes to their uniforms over the years, fans were always awaiting the return of the Prowler uniforms.

Part of the reason why the Prowler uniforms are such a hit is because of the rich history they hold, with legends such as Mark Brunell, Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell, Fred Taylor, John Henderson, Marcus Stroud, Rashean Mathis, and other 90's and early 2000s Jags legends wearing this jersey.

The Jaguars made it to the AFC Championship game in 1996 and 1999, two of the three times in franchise history.

Maybe the return of the Prowler uniforms can help the Jags return to the AFC Championship game.
